The Vineyard Project is dedicated to amplifying the vibrant Black history and culture of Greater New Haven. On 8/8/24, we traveled to Oaks Bluff to celebrate the 3rd Annual Vineyard Project in New Haven experience. The theme for the day was Reconcile, Challenge and Envision. Through the journey to Oaks Bluffs, a panel discussion, and a walk through Martha’s Vineyard, there were a few nuggets of wisdom I brought back, along with a lesson on why the sweatshirt I bought says Inkwell - We must reconcile with our past, challenge the stories told about us and envision them being told another way, one that that celebrates and makes us proud of who we are.
